    Coyote down

Went turkey hunting this morning, no luck on birds, but bagged a yote. He came within 45yds, and I gave her a facefull of #5 shot. She didn't take another step, DRT.

Great job and pic.... Probably why you didn't have any luck with the birds...

    Re: Coyote down

I lot of you might find this hard to believe ,but last deer season I was waching about a dozen turkeys working some white oaks when I noticed a big bobcat sneeking up from the hollow.I couldn't get a bead on him with my muzzle loader and at about 30-40 feet he charged in among the feeding turkeys. There was a big flurry of leaves and feathers ,then all of a sudden, the cat left like a streak back the way he'd come with 6-7 turkeys on his tail .About 5 minutes later the turkeys sauntered back and resumed their search for acorns.
I know it usually works out the other way and I'm glad you fellows plugged them stinking coyotes. You probably saved more turkeys than you'v shot for a while.
