Henry is considering running Color Case Hardened Big Boys

    As the title says...

Henry is considering running Color Case Hardened Big Boys, in any chambering that they think will sell.

If you're interested, send them an email and let them know that you'd buy one (or twelve) and what chambering(s) you'd like.

For those of you screaming about wanting a color cased .444 Marlin, and especially the guys wanting a Henry .444 Marlin, this may be your best bet.

    Just thought I'd give a heads-up.

(I posted here because the Henry forum is a ghost town, and none of the other forums (336, 444, 1895, .45-70, etc.) seemed appropriate.)

a color case hardened 41mag with a deep blued, highly polished octagon barrel sure sounds sweet!

More action than you think, all the tube loading people chime in all the time . Actually the Henry forum has more participation than the 30-30 advantage

    Just having fun.

back when they first came out with the 41mag steel the guy who did a small limited run of case color hardening for Henry posted some photos on the castbooloits site with a little bit of info about it. they were very nice to say the least. I would much rather have one of them then any of the tribute editions that henry has so many of. But I'm just a fat old guy what do I know

It was actually a discussion about trying to get a Big Boy Steel Carbine in .327 Federal color case hardened at the factory that prompted the admission of Henry wanting to do a "color case" series of Big Boys. (And, no, they won't do it. )

But, for now... I've given up on the BBSC .327.
I blew the budget on some other things, and, like you, would much prefer a color case hardened version (octagonal barrel would just sweeten it).
