Awhile ago I saw an add on gun list for a unit that replaced the hammer block safety with a unit that looked like two screws. Obviously it disabled the safety. Can anyone help me find a source for it?

From what I've heard, these are only made for the 1894, not the other Marlin actions. I heard there's a link at the SASS website.

They will work in all Marlins, I have one in my 1895 Cowboy. But I can't remember who made it.
The answer is in this link

I have kept the original safety on my Marlin 1895, but I wish it was a trigger block not a hammer block safety. When its on and you pull the trigger if the trigger move its obvious what's wrong, but on the hammer block type, the hammer falls and click. You don't know right away what's wrong, and if you are facing something with big teeth, that's not a good thing.
Do we really need to do this again?

We need to do this over and over - the hammer block is a redundant system and has nothing to do with safety.
