I think I got a touch of the FEVER! 1st shot nearly knocked him over - in the hump, hit him 2 of 3 next rnds as he was running away from us and finally he stopped at 110 yds-facing away but had his neck turned just enough for me to anchor him in the neck. You could see the impact(we thought it was water flying off but it turned out it was fur)he crumbled. we had to cross a slough and it took 45 min to find him. Fortunately he was only about 50 ft from the water.![]()
found 2 partial slugs and one that looks like you had just pulled it out of the casing. Randy Garrett was extermely surprised especially with the complete slug.
I would post a few pics here but haven't got a clue how.
If I had your e-mail address I could prob get them to ya!
Oh ya, I almost forgot - it was officially measured for B&C at 69 7/8 and scored 215 7/8 to go in the Award Book but 8 pts shy of going in World Record Book, which is ok by me.

Riverhunter,
Thought of something I failed to add - It was not the fault of anything or anyone but myself that it took 5 shots to drop my moose. The only vital shot I made was the last. For this I have apologized to the Moose many more times than i'll care to recall.Athough from 1st to last shot was less than a minute! I always strive for a clean near instant catch(as the Alaskan natives call it)! Hope i'm not labeled as some rightous purist now for this comment :!:
