Once I have a working load, I generally take about 3 - 5 rounds to zero, and if I use that many during big game season, I have filled all my tags or done further ballistics testing on trees out of boredom.
Even plinking at the range (which I get to 2-3 times a year is maybe 50 rounds.
ave you hugged your rifles today ?
I hesitate to say how much I shoot, but this year has been over 1000 rounds per month average. Shooting lead opens up all sorts of possibilities. Last month:
45-70--500 rounds monstly lower pressure
30-30--350 rounds "" ""
270 -- 50 rounds
7mag-- 50 rounds
30-06-- 20 rounds
22 Hornet--300 rounds
I did go varmint hunting, which accounts for the small rounds
Ranch Dog's postal match consumed quite a bit, as did a bit of load development. The big problem here is making bullets in the middle of the Summer. Incredibly hot work. Also somewhat of a problem keeping up with getting enough alloy. So far so good.
Hello Riflemen: I don't normally show a picture of my reloading room for the same reason I will list my ammo supply as follows-
22LR gigantic supply
223 bunches of various loads for various situations
30-06 "big ammo boxes full"
338-06AI box of 250 grain, oodles of 210 grain, various 200 grain
45-70 heaps of powder combinations for 405's
45-70 20 ea. 350 Hornady fp
45-70 60 " " " round point
a deluge of other reloads for rifles current and long gone.

I'm not as good a shooter as Jayco.....so I need to carry belts of ammo to the woods.
Everything is better with gravy!
