    10 Million by February 28th!!!

I'm asking for your help and support in the cause of freedom for the law abiding citizens this of this country!

I do believe that the sort of numbers below may just speak volumes and assist in the efforts to gain the attention of our representatives in Washington and prod them to do that which is right for our country and a free society!!! Perhaps it's now time to vote with our wallets and show our elected officials just what we as a free people want and require of them!

Lets make a real statement in January & February and make it "Buy a Semi-Automatic Firearm Month(s)". I suspect that 10 million new guns in the hands of the law abiding citizens will speak to the folks in DC as loudly as will the millions of phone calls, emails and letters that they are now receiving! Please consider passing it on to everyone you know, January & February are now "Buy a Semi-Automatic Firearm Month(s)" Lets push the number of FBI NICS checks over 10 million by February 28th 2013! Keep the pressure on the folks in Washington they need your support and input or their attention wanders!

Record Gun Sales Last Month — Up 1 Million over December 2011
(GunReports.com) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday that it had conducted a record number of instant background checks on those wishing to buy firearms in December.
The FBI performed just under 2.8 million checks in the month, more than a million higher than in December of 2011. For the full year, there were 19.6 million, almost 20% more than in 2011 and an all-time record.
While the number of checks is a good indicator of Americans' appetite for gun ownership, it is not precise, because "based on varying state laws and purchase scenarios, a one-to-one correlation cannot be made between a firearm background check and a firearm sale," the FBI noted.
In December, 2,783,765 total background checks were carried out to purchase firearms, surpassing the previous record from November 2012 when 2,006,919 checks were performed.
For the year, 19,592,303 background checks carried out for firearm purchases–a 19% rise from 2011.
    Kind regards,

    Abe

I still can't firgure out how the numbers of gun crimes don't keep up with the increase in gun sales... after all, the anti-gun morons are still convinced that "guns kill". I wonder what all those guns are waiting for, some kind of signal from the alien mother ship out there?

Yeah, I'm all for the idea, but at least at my local Oregon shops, there aren't many guns (semi-auto or other) to be had. And honestly, those that are there seem to be subject to price gouging/free-market (take your pick) pricing.

Same in eastern Tennessee. Don't mind anyone making a little extra. It is supply and demand. Just let me state that any retailer venturing over the "little extra" point will not have my business when the madness subsides.

I did my job back in Sept (300 AAC). Then I added a new upper in Nov (5.56). Can a nice bolt action 22 count for Jan?

I just finished a search on the gun auction sites and there is plenty to choose from. I personally have no actual want or for that matter desire for any firearm at this time. However, both the wife an I plan to purchase a something that goes bang both this month and again next month as well!
