OT Cop really messed up
A local Kitsap County, Washington Deputy Sheriff, yet to be identified but referred to as "she" in at least one report, went to a call with a mental 15' up a tree talking to himself and someone called it in. When the guy wouldn't come down they, 2 Deputies, decided to tazer him, (Not real bright since it seems if it worked they would have him falling fifteen feet to the ground), anyway to make it worse, when "she" took out her taser she accidently got her 40cal auto by mistake and shot the guy in the leg. He said "ouch that hurt" and proceeded to climb down the tree. He was then evacutated by helicopter to Harborview hospital for treetment. They have yet to identify the officers involved. Man o man was that stupid or what. P>S> I am retired LEO and can't believe how dumb that was.

Mistake my furry butt! Most cops I've seen have their pistol on their belt and their traser in a thigh holster below it. How can you mistake one for the other?
Obviously, she never saw her sights. Subconsciously, she would have realized those weren't her Glock's sights. :?

Either she's really stupid, or crazy like a fox. But either way, I don't think he'll be climbing any trees for a few months. Maybe a "negative association" thing will keep him more grounded for awhile.
Seems like every time I hear of an incident like this, there's a copchick involved. A pattern? I don't know, but none of the female officers I worked with would have shot him in the LEG.

Well, all I have to say is, had he done what the officers told him to do, none of this would have happened......
