Well Biku, if those were new firearms that is an additonal 252 million, bringing the total to 444 million now.

I also read somewhere (the mind isn't quite as sharp as it once was
) that for every 100 people, there were estimates of 89 firearms in the US.

There are currently over 80 million gun owners in the U.S., so with many of those owning multiple guns, the number could easily be that 500 million/
