I have a Marlin Cowboy chambered in the 44-40 Cartridge... I use this gun for cowboy action shooting. I would like to pick up a spare carrier for it, but don't know which one it would be. I have looked on Brownells and they have them for the 45colt... 44mag/special... Would either one of these be the same part as what I am looking for? Any help would be great. Thanks

I can't say for 100% sure, but I believe that would work. I don't think they made different carriers for each caliber, they just made a smaller one for .38/.357Mag and a larger one for the rest. I would go ahead and order it, when it comes in compare them. If it won't work you can send it back.
Yeah that is my thinking to, I just wasn't for sure. Maybe I'll just get one ordered..lol heck if it ain't right, it'll fit in one of my other Marlins. Can never have to many spare parts.

My 1894 is converted from 44 mag to 44-40.So the 44 mag carrier should work for you.

If I recall correctly, the 44-40, 44Mag/Spl and the 45 Colt all use the same carrier. There is an old design and the new design that has the push button rocker, but either of those should work, because there were NO changes to the lever.
