Is ANYTHING new coming out in 2009 from Marlin? Even rumors? Like bringing back the 336 CB or a 1895CB in some other calibers, like 40-65?!! (please)
The only new one I am aware of is the new 338 MX. Should be a real big game getter.
I agree and I want one of each. Especially the 336 CB in 30-30 and 38-55.Originally Posted by aalmcc4

I forgot. There is a new 1895 with lam/SS, a shorty barrel and full mag tube. Also heard about a new short action bolt action.
wish they would come back with the 1894 in .32 mag or introduce the .327 cartridge in the same...
Heck,.... I'd even settle for any .32 centre fire cartridge in a bolt action like those .22 rimfire guns!
ruffbird,... (who believes marlins & ruger single actions go together like bacon & eggs!)
I would love to see more cowboy rifles in realistic calibers like .218, .25-20, .32-20, .38-40, and .44-40. I would also love to see the 336 be chambered in .25-35, and .38-55. I have not heard of anything new except the .338 and the short lam/stainless 1895.
I'd also like to see the 1894 in the new .327 have Ruger match it with a Single Six...
Every day above ground is a good day.
Oh man how cool would that be!Originally Posted by lmhans4440

I know this is an old post, but I'd love to see the Cowboy in .444 Marlin. I think it would compliment the .45-70 well and loads could be worked up (for optimum accuracy) that would make them different enough as long as the twist rates were different. For example, the 1894 Cowboy in 45LC has a much higher twist rate than the .44Mag, giving incentive to certain buyers to own both. It's funny how we rationalize we need to buy another gun!
I've always liked the look and balance of the half magazine rifles and carbines. Last year I think there was a 1894 with the half tube in 32-20. I'd like one of those in .357 magnum actually.
Plus 1 on the CB in 30-30 again. Then, more barrel length choices in general across the board.
