I won a bid on a Lyman 45 bullet sizer press at ebay. My question is, does the Lyman 45 use the same dies as the 450/4500? I need answer before I finalize the deal.
Thanks 6pt. I read up on the 45 over at castboolits. Hopefully I'll have it set up in time to do its thing when my NOE 432-300 RD mold finally gets here.
What thoughts do you have about the 45?
Well, I finished the deal. I ended up paying 72.50 including shipping for an old used Lyman 45 sizer. I would have preferred it a bit cheaper and better looking but hey, it's on the way.
All for my NOE 432-300 Ranch Dog clone that is still maybe a month away from coming.
The RCBS dies won't fit in a Lyman 45 sizer. They are too big at the top to go all the way in. The RCBS sizer will take all that I have tried, no matter which brand and when made.
That's wild. I wonder why mine won't work. The top of the dies is bigger than the body, and they won't go into the hole in the lubrisizer. Wonder if my sizer isn't a 45 but one that is older? I thought it was a 45, but now I'm not too sure anymore.
Well, I received my Lyman 45 and after a little confusion, I put my Buffalo Arms custom .432 sizer die in. I am still a bit confused on some issues. My NOE RD 432-300 mold is still at least a couple of weeks away so I have time to figure stuff out.
