AR 15 MAGS
I have 4 AR 15 30 round mags that I would like to swap for 4 AR15 30 round mags that are date stamped 93 or older. In the state of NY you can only have a 10 round mag unless it is dated prior to the ban. The gun dealers in NY that have any are charging $40.00 per. It not much fun going to the range with one 5 round mag one 10 round & one legal 30 round mag. Don`t move to New York!! 444

Where would one find a date stamp on an AR-15 magazine? I have a couple dozen, but have never noticed a date on any of them.
Somehow, the idea of moving to New York has NEVER crossed my mind. :P

If a date is stamped on them, it is on the side the one I have is dated 06 93, & one of my other ones is dated 5 09. the other 3 don`t have dates on them. What a pain in the A$$!! If I wasn`t so damn old I would move back to Pa. in a minute! 444

I'll have to go look at mine... I've never noticed a date code on mine, either.

Did (D-Rep) Carolyn McCarthy have some thing to do with this idiotic law? It smells of her misguided, emotionally-driven hysteria. I'm sorry for what she went through, but if her husband had been legally (or illegally) armed, he'd be alive now, and we would never have heard of her. A far better Alternative Reality!

NY was one of the states that passed legislation during the Federal AWB period with little opposition. After all, it just mirrored law already in place.
Of course, they left out that annoying sunset clause...

Well, I'll be rolled in cornmeal and deep-fried.... I have one. Unfortunately, it doesn't meet your rediculous date requirement. I'm not a big 30rd mag fan, I prefer USGI 20's and Magpuls, so I never really looked at it.

I looked at my 30rd AR mags and there are no dates on any of them.

I looked through some of the 30 round mags my brother in law gave me and they are stamped 6/03 and say restricted use Law Enforcement/Government use only,guess they were made during the ban?
