    Mine is a HuntMaster Advantage. But company changed name to Ten Point after just a few hundred were built due to name infringement. Parts are interchangeable with new Ten Point parts and Customer Service is TOPS!!

    These deer were taken in northern Maryland. I like XX75 shafts and ThunderHead broadheads for my deer killin' outfit.

    I have a Barnett Quad 400. But I only use it for stand hunting. It's to bulky and heavy to tote it through the woods. And it's plenty powerful. I almost had a complete pass through from neck to rear last year at 40 yards. It was the first shoot I took with it on a deer and now I know what to expect in the future.

    I really like the recurve crossbows for portability and might pick one up this year.

    excalibur...i wasnt aware anyone else made one ?

    LOL...FYI though...you should shoot one

    xbows arent really what some make them up too. i dont care to hunt with a xbow, bulky, hard to get used too.........other factors too....geometry mostly. just not what some people think they are. carry one for an hour and you'll see

    Don't have one at the moment...but I'm getting a Parker Tornado F4 here in the next few weeks...figured I'd use that 3rd week of vacation for some archery hunting.

    Horton Fury... Very fast, the reverse limb design makes it more compact and easier to maneuver in a tight spot or in a blind.

    Can never have too many;

    And still looking for more...

    I have contemplated getting one for some time. Recently purchased a quad 400 and took it out to shoot last week. I am amazed at the power, accuaracy and speed of these things. The quad is a bit heavy, but I won't be hauling it far.

    With a bit more practice, I will feel confident out to 35 yards by archery season this year. No doubt if I do my part this xbow will doits part too!

    I can't wait to get an opportunity on a deer with this thing

    You'll probably be confident with shots out to 45 or 50 yards within one or two days. They're very easy to shoot if you're familiar with rifles which your signature block certainly implies. It's not recommended to hunt farther with a crossbow.

    PS

    I have the Quad 400 and a Horton Realtree Ultralite. I like the Quad 400 for its power. I like the Ultralite for its size, weight and quality of materials and craftsmanship. I plan to keep and continue to hunt with both but if I had to get down to one I would keep the Ultralite.

    I own a Ten Point GT Flex. It has exceeded my expectations and I hear Excaliber makes an even better recurve crossbow. After two practice sessions I am more accurate with it than my compound bow.

    Just this season, my left shoulder got arthritis so bad I had to switch to a crossbow too. Since Social Security doesn't pay real good, I got a $139 recurve crossbow from Sportsman's Guide. 235fps, weighs less than 5 pounds, and shoots where I'm looking every time. What more do I need?
