    PA Bow Season

PA's bow season began today. Did anyone make it out?

I couldn't make it this morning (son's football game) but I did make it out tonight. No action until 6 pm. I saw a total of 10 deer (6 does and 4 bucks). The bucks were (2) 4 points, a spike and a wide 7 point. I took a crack at the 7 point but shot a little forward and buried the broad head in a small sapling. Gonna go get my broad head tomorrow.

    Good luck all!

If I have to explain to you why the 35 Remington is one of the finest rounds ever loaded, then you just won't understand.

Wow, you'll have your deer in the freezer early and not get a chance to use the 35!

    Hal -

I have two tags for deer this year. Even if I bag a buck with the bow, I still have my doe tag for camp! I won't hunt there until December. The 35 will hopefully roar then!

My brother got a doe tag for the area around Washington County. First he has gotten a doe license since 1996. He wants to shoot one with his 450 Marlin.

He's gone the crossbow route this year.

He is in the right area of the state to tag out! Lots of deer here in Washington county. If he misses, the sound of that big bore may kill her instead! Curious how bloodshot (if at all) the meat would be with a 450.
