    Marlin Factory Big Loop Lever

I just ordered (from my friendly local FFL gun dealer) a Big Lever for my 1895XLR 45-70.

Marlin won't sell 'em too you unless you have a FFL. I called 'em. The factory fellow was also pretty adamant that the lever would need "adjusted and installed" by a competent gunsmith.

Well, I figure I got half of it. I'm competent......but I've never been called a gunsmith.

Price.....HMmmmmm.....He told me that....and I want to say it was going to be about $80 for the lever. At least, I think that was it. For sure it was less than $100 and more than $60.

I figure I do my own trigger work 'n other stuff, so this can't be brain surgery. Plus I have the original lever to take micrometer measurements from 'n such.

The P/N for the stainless BLL is 5018230-00, MSRP is $64 clams
Only ships to ffl holders, boo hiss. Still even at MSRP a pretty good price compared to others.

Dave can you post a full picture of the XLR after you make your change over to the BLL . I've been thinking of making that change.

    Thanks

Re: Marlin Factory Big Loop Lever

I don't know. Just look up their number on their web site and give 'em a call. If they make it, you will have to have your local gun shop order it, unless you have an FFL.
