I got the Williams fire sight for my new guide 45/70 GBL..It makes a great difference!
This front sight is .250 in height..The big question is can a put a Williams peep sight on the back without having to change the front sight?
A second question is, what does it take to install the williams adjustible peep sight on a guide 45/70?
I hope you can help me with these questions as I am on the trail of an excellent iron sight bush and camp gun.

If the sight you put on the front is the same size as your stock sight you should be ok. Now for the peep there are two types. One that mounts on the side of the receiver if your gun is drilled and tapped which my Guide Gun is not. That's where the other type comes in. It mounts using the two rear scope mount screw holes. I hope I helped.

I have a Williams 5D-336 Receiver Peep Sight Top Receiver on my 1895 marlin it does work with the factory front sight. IMO a blade front sight would work better for hunting. I use the six 'o' clock hold. reason that i prefer a blade front sight
installs with the factory scope mounts holes.
