That was quite a bidding war going on for the 444P, $972 to the winner..

I was watching it too, my goodness it took off with an hour to go. I already have one and am in process of paying for a second but I couldn't pay that much, wow!

I was in the mix early but bowed out when it went over $ 800. I actually thought I had two other guns available but both are already sold. Still, I would not have bid more than 850.

The one that is really stinging me tonight is the NIB 444P I found but someone emailed him today a higher offer. That gun was not on GB. I could have had that one for about what I was willing to pay for the GB gun today. If only my cash had come in sooner. In fact, if I had gotten the cash sooner I would have already bought the 444P from MO member Chipper but he has sold that one as well. I guess I will have to go downstairs and load up some 44 mags for my 44P to ease the pain and have a tough conversation with my 44P about my failure to find a brother for the gun.

I hope you are right. I am sure there will be other Marlins I will want to buy at some point in time but the 444P to match my 44p is high on my list. I am all about ported guns now. In fact, I might send my 45-70 SBL off to get ported.

Gunner that's the problem, the dang prices! I'm glad I got that 64' 444 back when I did bout a dozen years ago. 250 and it surely don't hurt my feelings these days with the prices where there at!!!
I guess I can call that a P seein how it's 20" Magna Ported![]()

I knew the 444p's were next to take off in price. Glad I was able to find 2 over the past couple of years. Definitely one of my favorites and would be last Marlin I would sell.
