I'm confused....have 150 pcs of new Hornady 444 brass ordered from Sinclair....in transit....
I realize they load the factory gummy rds with a shortened brass length...
But..buying new unprimed brass....what length will I get ?? I have RCBS 444 dies along
with a Lee FCD....not interested in handloading gummy boolits....or buying or altering
my current 444 dies.....I wanna load my 265s..270 & 300 gr Speers...along with cast...
I also don't want feeding issues..pressure problems with my 444-P.....please advise...
thanx.....

Your hornady brass will be full length, won't be a problem. You get the short brass with the factory loaded gummytips.
If you are not the lead dog, the scenery never changes
The Hornady brass you get with the gummy tip ammo will not serve much purpose other than to load more gummy tips. I like Remington brass, but I buy that in bulk. 100 pcs bags range from $73 at Grafs and sons to about $90 at Midway.
Hornady brass that comes as part of the Superperformance Ammo is full length, but word on the street is that it is a little bit more brittle than the Remington stuff. The Superperformance ammo is about the same price as the leverevolution ammo so is much preferred by reloaders.
Sorry: rereading the original post, I realize that un-primed brass was what was indeed ordered. No problemo.

Let us know what you get. i avoided ordering Hornady brass for that reason.
A buddy of mine just got some Hornady brass it is full length.

Just got a order of 50 Hornady brass for reloading. It's full length. They wouldn't sell the short stuff for reloading. Part number is #8692, if you order that number you will get primo brass.
BUT some of the "once fired" brass on GunBroker is used LE short brass. I emailed the seller to find out as he convieniently did not put this info in his ad.
Just saying....
