Are the ones I see you guys talking about here on the forum the same ones in Cabelas?
IMO you can't do better than Beartooth. Check out the 290 gr. Marshall offers several sizes to fit your individual rifle's bore. One of my .444's slugs .431 so I use a .432 bullet. I could also use the .4325. My other slugs at .429 so I use the .432 for both. You want a cast bullet a bit larger than your bore for best accuracy.
Let me know if you want to try some and I'll send you some along with a load or two.

Personally, I wouln't buy them unless the could tell me the specific diameter of the bullet. Even though one of them is listed as for the 444, that doesn't mean didily.
I'm telling you, you can't beat the Beartooth 290-grain LFNGC for the application you spoke of. That LBT 320 Gr. WLNGC/DC is not a 200-yard boolit.
If you don't want to or have time to lap that rifle this year, you can order these boolits sized to .432" and they shoot right out of the box. Open:
You will see the Lapping Kits on the menu and just scroll down to the 44 caliber bullets.
Jeeze Michael. I think you made your point.

Could one of the moderators delete the duplicates above. THIS forum is the slowest one I visit. It's painful to log on (I must log on each and every time) and it is EXTREMELY slow every time I've here. Shooters Forum, Cast Boolits, etc. are no problem... just this one. I usually leave from the frustation of waiting up to 5 minutes for it to post one reply.
CP bullets for a 44cal used to be listed at .430, much to small for a 44cal Marlin, call them they might make a bigger diameter bullet that would work, the people at CP are some very good folks..................Marko
Their are only two kinds of people, those who own a 444 and those who wish they owned one,
and yes folks, denial is bliss!
Not much has really changed in the world in 2000 years, Christians are still being thrown to the Lions! and
Satans tool of Deception is still working like a charm, from the time of Adam and Eve, to today!
