David- I see the dog has trained you for "ear" signals. What does one up and one down mean?
As I think on it, why does that pooch get the cushion and poor Fred has to rest on his laurels?

As for the one ear, well he is defective, I refer to Jack as my Defective Papillon!

Cushions, That Papillon like laundry baskets full of warm clothes, seat cushions, and the back of my drivers seat in the Suburban. Re will ride on my right shoulder.

Fred will lay anywhere he can get dirty, foul smelling or wet. Lake, river, pond or swamp. Dead anything well he rolls in it. Rolls in the snow, scratches his back in the snow or grass. He just wants to be wherever I am. Easy going and needs nothing fancy!

Thanks - I understand about the Papillion secret ear shake. As for Fred, well I observed a long time ago
that dogs remarkably resemble their owners traits......

Yes, watch out when you first see Dave, he will run over to you, and knock you over. You need to rub him behind the ears, to calm him down.

Tom - I am okay with the "rubbing behind the ears thing ( well maybe ). It's the dirty foul smelling, dead anything rolls in it,
part that is giving me pause.
