Hi David, just filled up my truck today and calculated the mileage to be 12.2 mpg.
Is there any simple way to improve that number via maintenance? What will have the best impact on improving mileage on a 21-year-old 5.7 liter SFI engine with nearly 270,000 miles on it?

Too many Marlins to list--especially the ones in 35 Rem.
Tom and ia (steve). I tuned into that one this morning myself. Like Tom I didn't have time to bid
before it outreached my wallet. The report on the bore makes me feel a little bit better.
Griff, I also run full synthetic, in the differentials (front and rear) Transfer case, transmission and engine.
Griff in your climate I think the synthetics would have very little effect on fuel consumption. Accelerate slower, avoid prolonged idling. Buy fuel with higher BTU numbers. Good luck finding suppliers giving that info away.
