A New In Box 336SS LTD in .35 Rem is on the way!

I am pleased to announce that today I purchased a 336SS LTD in .35 Rem in new condition. It is one of only 500 manufactured in 2004. An unnamed reliable source (Gunner) says he doesn't think any have been manufactured since this run in '04.

This all came about because (1) a thread that started yesterday by OIF2 included pics of a Marlin in this model, and it was flat out georgeous, and (2) you folks told me recently in my thread about Marlin sickness that I still need a .35 Rem for my little family. After viewing the pics yesterday, I decided on a whim to check the on-line sites on the scant, extremely remote possibility one might be listed; and, low and behold, there was one...a new-in-box LTD no less. It has an 18.5" barrel and a straight stock, which make a great looking rifle.

I won't have the rifle in hand for about 10 days, but I found a good photo to show what it will look like:

Sorry if I sound boastful about this find, but it may be my favorite. We'll see. I just wanted to share the good news. Actual photos will follow when the real deal arrives.

I think you did the right thing...and if I, in some small way, assisted in helping you deal with this attack of Marlinitis, then I'm happy. I am impressed with how you recognized a problem and dealt with it in a forthright manner. Kick-ass rifle, by the way.

Outstanding Swampy, just outstanding. You are a man of little talk and quick action! I'll bet the picture doesn't even do the rifle justice. Can't wait to see more pics. Ya done good.

That's very cool! Pretty much a mini guide gun. That gun is one of my favorite Marlins. Glad you found one.

    Plus it's a 35 Remington!
