Short mag. tube or long mag. tube?

Just going on what I have picked up reading about the search for SC's or other short Mag. tube models, I would like to ask, which do you prefer? I don't know how to make this a poll with the list up top, maybe a Moderator could help an old man out. I think three questions would do it,
    1. I prefer the looks/ handling of the shorter magazine tubes.
    2. I prefer the looks/ handling of the full length tubes.
    3. It makes no difference to me.

I own both, but like the looks of the shorter tube, only exception would be the Cowboy Models. DP

Short mag. tube or long mag. tube?

    2. Long tubes. Never been a fan of single tube or box mag style rifles. Even my shotgun has a second barrel so it looks "right".

But really depends on the rifle, I like the short mag on my 35sc, long mag on my 336 30.30

Each has its own subtle qualities in regards to looks. I own both ,and really never got fixated on the characteristics of either one.
I accept that each has its own redeeming qualities................like Blondes and Brunettes............and then,.....There are Redheads!..

Hello,  I am new here and I own a gun store in upstate New York.  Big Marlin and Winchster fan.  Old levers are what I enjoy.  I have a 336 in a 35 rem and a 1895 Marlin in 33 WCF, short magazine tube, 20 inch barrel as well as various other levers from years past.  I am looking for more info on my 33 WCF so any insight would be great!

No absolute with me. I like the SC, CL, M375 .444 and .45-70 short mags. I love a full length on any CB or octagon. I do not like barrel bands and other stuff hanging off of barrels. I do like forend caps. I can live with my .35 Rem RC that shoots REALLY well. Does that sum it up?

I always thought a lever action rifle should have a long mag tube.

But, I guess to each their own.

I like the appearance of the long tube the best. Can't say why, I just do.
