New Guy & My Suppressed 336

New Guy, here! I've lurked for a little while and read some posts that helped me on my build. I figured I'd wait to introduce myself until I had the Marlin in my hands.

My name's John, I'm 25 (Veteran of the Army) and currently going to college in Bozeman, Montana.

Marlin 336 chambered in .30-30 with Advanced Armament Cyclone suppressor. I haven't shot it yet, but hopefully on Friday!

Are you shooting reduced loads? Very interested on how much it helps out with the report.

That is a very interesting looking 336! A little tacti-cool but I like it!. Like CaliCoastie asked, are you shooting reduced loads, or sub sonic or just standard velocity 30-30 ammo? Either way I bet it knocks the DB level down quite a bit.

    Hello, and welcome to MarlinOwners.

    That's a neat setup on your 336.

Give us some details on the build.

Is that a Red-Dot with a scout rail?

I have been thinking about putting a Red-Dot on my semi-tactical Glenfield 30A.

    MontanaPlains,

So, you are going to Montana State? Studying.....what? Oh wait thats not the topic of this thread....welcome aboard brother (20+ years in the Army and still going). This is a great forum, lots and lots of good folks here (absolutely no trolls), if you ever need advice just stop by here and there will be more people than you can shake a stick at that will give you a hand. Dont you know that that little ol 30-30 wont do you a bit of good there in Big Sky country (yes I am being a smarta$$), I sure like my Marlins, have a whole closet full and still wanting more.
