Re: Rossi Lever Action Circuit Judge- Cool or Just Not Right?

Taurus has a Raging Bull out now that takes 45 Colt, 454 and 410. It felt like it weighed a couple pounds more than an Anaconda and it's huge with the three inch cylinder. Now thats what they need to make as a lever action. It would fill the wish of those who want a 454 Lever, eliminate the need of a 45 Colt 1894, and replace the Marlin 410 lever. And all in a gun that would make a dangerous game double feel light and would look about as ugly as a gun can get. And I'm kidding about replacing the Marlins, so don't send hate mail. Seriously, this Taurus revolver is so big and heavy you could pistol whip a grizzly into submission with one blow, providing the bear let you have the first swing. Being a lover of the needless and obscure, I would probably buy one.

Looks like they had a few extra parts and poorly put them together.

Wouldn't even let that one in my house.

Re: Rossi Lever Action Circuit Judge- Cool or Just Not Right?

Cool and not just right. It looks like the gun version of Frankenstein to me.

Let's build a lever action, revolver, give it a rifle barrel, give it a rifle stock, make it shoot two calibers, but wait... the cylinder is too long for a great 45 gun and the rifled barrel is bad for a .410. I think it might quite be the worst attempt at creating something new in the firearms industry that I've seen in a very long time.

With that said, I can see how it might make a great gun for home defense. If you have a lady around that is recoil sensitive and not crazy proficient with firearms then it would make an OK bedside gun for her. All she'd have to do is flick the lever and pull the trigger and she'd have 5 rounds at her disposal.

Outside of a bedside home-defense gun or someone buying it just for the novelty of it, I can't imagine why anyone would actually pay for it.

Re: Rossi Lever Action Circuit Judge- Cool or Just Not Right?

I wouldn't mind having one if it was a 45-70. A 410 with no choke is as useless as wild boar teats and the 45 colt is too inaccurate. Not to mention, I just don't trust Taurus handguns to not have problems even with their Lifetime (of sending it back) Warranty that costs freight every time you have to send it back and wait 2 months to get it back and probably not fixed right either.
