Looks like a very nice rifle. I am fairly new here and it seems to be the place to come for information on Marlins. The LTS pictured has sling posts and one I bought recently that did as well. Are these factory or aftermarket?

Marlin+, if you are speaking of the front sling attachment, it's an aftermarket. It clamps on the mag tube. Some didn't have a front qd mount & this was an easy fix from Uncle Mike's. I'd rather have the 1 that is fixed to the barrel band.

Brophy Marlin Firearms page 263-264 doesn't mention anything about sling posts on the 336 LTS and pictures don't show a sling. Mine dosent have any.

I know I promised pictures, but I don't have the LTS yet. The seller, whom I have known for quite some time, has had some issue come up and it will be next week before I get the rifle. I hate waiting, but in this case, I don't mind waiting. I will post pictures when I have it.

Well, it's not any good. You must send it to me and I will take care of it. It will be handled with care, love and special attention for years to come. I'll even pay you for it!

Proof stamps, maybe Great Britian. Interesting, I've seen them on 1911's and M1 Garands, but never on a Marlin. See something new every day.
