The 336 LTS 30-30 ( Light Tracker Safety) was similar to the older Maurader, but having an 18 1/2" barrel.

I would class the LTS as a rather Rare rifle................I think the LTS was first produced in the 1988 to possibly early 91, but I can't confirm that.

That's a good looking rifle, and it would interest me if I came upon it.

I have a Texan manufactured either '79 or '81, anyway it has an 18 1/2" factory barrel. is there any significance to the barrel length in those years or did they just have a shorter barrel to use?

Gentlemen, thank you for your insight. Tomray, glad you gave me what the LTS actually means. I did not believe that Little Texan Safety was the correct meaning! lol
I have no intention of letting this one get away. I will buy the rifle. I was just asking to see how much I overpaid for it.....lol. It is what it looks to be, a good solid rifle, that functions as it should, but does have some handling marks on it. These do not come up for sale in my area very often, so I will own the rifle. Thank you all for you comments and insight. I appreciate it.

I never even heard of an LTS. It looks like a nice little carbine.

I found one these ( the 1st and only one I have ever seen ) at a small gun show last fall. I knew what it was and that it was hard to find. I bought a 39tds instead from the gentlemen that had the 336lts. Shortly after leaving the show, I realized that I had made a mistake buy not buying both rifles. A month or so later, at another gunshow, the dealer was there and still had it, we made what I thought was a great deal and was thrilled to take it home with me. Still hard to believe that I had another opportunity to buy this special rifle.
