First off, thanks so much all of you who helped me with the ejector problem. However, there's still an issue. The ejector is in right, the bolt slides right on top of it and it's great now.
-----------BUT-------------
I can't re-install my lever!!!!!?!?!! It lines up with the hole and I put the screw in. It screws it perfect but it won't lock in all the way to be the trigger guard. It stops moving right by it. It won't even push the bolt all the way back. Please help as I need to have it fixed soon!

I would say it's not lined up right.. just take it all apart and re do it slow ..
Make sure once the ejector is in and you slide the bolt in place only push it half way and then install the lever at close to a right angle to get it lined up right.. it should work just fine unless something in out of whack ..

Hey next time it will be no problem. I think everyone needs to know how to disassemble and reassemble their guns. I work on other peoples all the time. It's a good thing to know what makes them work and how it all works together.

You are right. It felt good to put it back together. Heck, I disassembled/reassembled it 2 more times after I fixed it!Originally Posted by Tommy Kelly

Look at a wolf, look at a deer, look at a human, look at a black bear. The 30-30 was designed to be the most efficient caliber to down any of them within the range you would most commonly encounter such creatures.

This should help you understand the Marlin a bit. Found in the reference section. http://www.hunter-ed.com/wa/course/2...ions_lever.htm
