MARLIN MOD 336 Lever Action Rifle value question

I have a Marlin Lever Action Rifle Model 336 CAL 30-30 WIN that I don’t remember anything about how or when I bought it. It has been sitting in the back of my safe for a very long time.

I’m running out of space and thinking to sell it, is there an easy way to find the manufacture date, value or any information about it?

    Appreciate any help

MARLIN MOD 336 Lever Action Rifle value question

The value of many Marlins will depend on the configuration of the gun. The 336 was made in several barrel lengths, stock styles, magazine lengths and sights. Post a description or a picture of it here and you may get a value of what folks are seeing in their areas. There are a few members in your state. I have bought them here for as little as $90. and as high $500. You should also post the first several digits of the S/N as this will date it. ie: 19XXXX

MARLIN MOD 336 Lever Action Rifle value question

Since they only made about a bajillion 336's, the common 20" carbines are pretty cheap used, especially when you consider you can buy a new 336W for under $300.

If it's not a common configuration, or is really clean, you can get more.

The last 336 I bought for my son was in need of some TLC but I only paid $100
