    Glenfield model 30gt

I acquired a Glenfield model 30gt from a friend. Was told it is the same as a marlin just has Glenfield on it. I need 3 things. The front barrel band by front sight has wrong screw in it. Need to get the right one. The forarm and but stock have ingraving on them. Want to change to plain wood. The but stock is straight not pistol grip. Any help wear to get new or used parts would be great.

    Thank You

Take a look on ebay under marlin gun stock. A 336 straight stoke will work.

A lot of people would like to have a 30GT in original condition. You could sell it for a good price, then get something more to your liking. They didn't make many of them. It's your gun and you can do what you want with it, but I wouldn't change it.

I bought it from a friend> I was trying to help him out paid $250.00 for it. I thought that was to much but like I said was trying to help out a friend. If I change furniture I will keep the old. So whats a good price I would even consider trade for another 30 30 straight stock.

If it's in decent shape I think you could get $400-500 for it. You bought it cheap, real cheap!

patd, welcome to the MO Family, from here in west central Mo. That Glenfield 30gt is basically a Marlin 336 Texan, the only difference is the roll marking Glenfield instead of Marlin, the same gun made in the same plant. Congrats on getting it. You might try Marlin/Remington and aski about new furniture also. Take care, John.
    Just keep on keeping on.

What a find! You must be living right.
