    Ted Williams .30-.30 ammo

My neighbor gave to me a box of .30-.30 ammo that came from Sears "some time ago...". The really interesting part is that the shells are stamped "Sears". I can't figure out who made the ammo for Sears at that time.

I can't decide if I should shoot the ammo or keep it as a conversation piece!

I have a box just like that. It has been shot and reloaded many times. That was in the good ol days when stores like Sears and JC Penny and the like sold outdoor gear and guns.

    Ted Williams ammo

I remember a thread on this forum by 35remington I think. He did some great research on bullet deformation and penetration. One particular post showed a bullet much like this one. The photograph brought to attention the "skives" on the bullet and how it helped the mushrooming effect. I can't find that thread that names the bullet.
