    Cheap ammo

Does anyone online have in stock 30-30 ammo under $13. I found some for $12.50 but it is sold out.

Welcome to MO. I doubt if you are going to find 30 30 ammo that cheap right now. During the Fall , I used to be able to get it that cheap (combo of sale and rebate), but after what's been going on lately, that might not happen again. If you can get it for around $15/ box, jump on it.

Under $13/box, check back in two years. If ammo is still legal, it might be in stock.

PPU is usually the cheapest, but Midway dosen't have any right now. You might try looking around the web, i think Cheaper than dirt carries PPU (Prvi Partizan) Otherwise I don't know. Maybe buy a reloading starter kit and take the plunge. If you signed up here, you're well on the way to becoming a gun guru anyway.

If it is that hard, every man horse and his dog will be looking and buying. Procrastination is a Marlin owners worst friend. You see it, you buy it. The longer you take the more it is going to cost. The laws of supply and demand apply.

Might be time to invest in learning how to reload, or wait it out.

Hope you find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Anything made by or touched by man is bound to foul up sooner or later, more than likely sooner or just out of warranty.

Looking at component costs, and buying everything in bulk, I can get .30-30 down to about $8bx/jacketed, $4bx/cast (at todays prices). I keep about 1000 jacketed hunting bullets on hand for my .30-30, and another 500 Speer 110gr HP's as practice bullets. I have roughly 2000 Magnus Cast bullets that work well with Trail Boss and Unique.

From the Clinton years, I learned to maintain reserves.

$12 + on-line will end up being around $15 when you factor in shipping. The Fall sales/rebate costs I was talking about were local stores and the out the door cost.

Buying on line, may you may find "cheap" ammo but it`s the shipping cost that drives the over-all price way over what you can get it for in a store.
