Can anyone suggest a manufacturer of 170 gn FN cast bullets with consistent diameter of .311? Preferably not cast overly hard as I'll be using them on whitetails at 1600fps and would like some bullet deformation upon entering the meat.
FWIW, I'm trying to work up an accurate load for a 36 A I received for christmas. This gun doesn't group well with .308 jacketed bullets and I'm hoping the oversized lead bullets will engage the rifling better the the jacketed bullets.
Casting yourself isn't too hard. There are plenty of good molds.

Great site MT Mike!!
Just what I was looking for.
Thanks for the reply.
I have noticed that Beartooth has their 30 cal bullets sized out to .312 and .313. I have been tempted to try them bigger than .311. I figure the fattest bullet that will chamber is probably the best bet. If they won't chamber, I can size them down to .311. At least they will be a constant .311 if I resize them myself.
