My Avatar is my brother John who left me to soon. He was 10 Y/O 1 month older than me. He took me off the Streets of Brooklyn taught me how to handle a rifle and to hunt. For his attention I would always be grateful. Rest in Peace Brother John.
I have read it works well with the 160 FTX in the .30-30.
I am working up some loads of the 8208 XBR in different loads ranging from starting load of 35 grains up to the max of 37.8 using the Hornady 160 grain FTX bullets. I want to see what works well in my gun. I am shooting the 308MX. According to what I have been told the powder performs very well at close to max recommended charge of 36.5 to 37.8 grains. I plan on posting the results, good or bad once I have been to the range.
I'm going to test the powder in my 307W.
just ran out and ordering monday morning. thanks for the heads up. i use it for 35 rem, acurate, no complaints.

I tried 38 grains behind a 160 grain ftx in my 307w today. Average velocity was 2311. Standard deviation was 20.7. Accuracy was remarkably good for such a low velocity - slightly over 1 inch. I'll try 39 grains next week. I suspect that max in the 307w will be a little less than 40 grains.
Midway now has this in stock if any of you are interested.
