hi,am new to all this so please bear with me. i read somewhere that six-gunz made such, but no longer doe's,however aren't there other's that do? would most certainly like to have one, also, would these be functional?(strong enough?) what a great idea,.........putting a ring in place of,....whatcha callit!
PM Marlin owner's member Cody_Wy. I think he is making them nowadays.
Here is one six_gunz made for me.

That looks really nice, what about the hole thats left on the other side of the receiver, what goes in there ? Can a saddle ring be installed on a pre-saftey (81) model. Thanks for any replys

The pin the ring mounts to goes all the way to the other side. Just looks like a screw. The pre safety models would need a new hole drilled and tapped in the receiver for a ring stud.
Can't see it real well in this pic but here is the other side.

hey thats real slick, I didnt know anyone did that.....cool
Clyde Ludwig also makes a safety replacement pin for about 10 bucks+ shipping. I don't think he make a pin for the saddle ring though. Cody_WY is your best shot at a saddle ring pin I think.
Here is what the saddle ring pins look like.
im not a big fan of the ring but they do have plug (or what ever you want to call it) that just replaces the safety i think they were $10 bucks but would have to look.
I've got shoulder and neck problems so a sling is painful for me. Now after seeing these I'm wondering if I could find a saddle that fits me and maybe I could give this a try.
This is a good idea though.
