Does anyone make a big loop lever for 1894?

First yr. hunting with the 1894. The lever is to smal to accomadate my hand with my heavy gloves on. Does anyone make a large loop lever for the straight stocked 1894?

They were shipping levers for the 1894 a month or two ago. Not sure if any are left. Click on this link to a thread from the WWG section of the forum:

You may try someplace like midway or brownells or the like. They have carried them in the past. I am thinking about getting bigger loop lever for my 1894ss and will get a DRC this time. While the WWG is nice and I had one on a 1895 I had, I think it was a smidge big for my tastes. The DRC looks to be the right size for my needs and perhaps it would work for you.

Patty, do you have a website for DRC? Who is it, what is DRC? Thanks!

    Here's a link to DRC's website:

    http://www.drcguns.com/product_1.html

Dave Clay (of DRC) will sell direct if you don't find what you're looking for at MidwayUSA or Brownells.

Here's a pic of an 1895 with stainless DRC lever:

The DRC lever is larger than the factory lever, but smaller than the WWG lever. Not sure of availability of DRC levers for the 1894...

Good choice, I have one on my 1895GS (like Unforgiven).... I love it!!! Their web site says Large loop lever all models. They're simple to install.

I think they only make a certain amount of them for the 1894 on a few production runs and once they're sold you're SOL until the next run....I would think they sell out quick as they are limited runs.

Re: Does anyone make a big loop lever for 1894?

Wild West currently has blue 1894 levers, after 3 months wait and some effort I recently fitted one on a 16.5" .44 mag. I really like the WW look for cowboy style guns. Stainless orders are currently being taken according to some posts but you should call to get the straight facts. Everything WW makes is first class. WW guns 907-344-4500.
DRC levers have a different look, not as "extreme" with a smaller loop. Maybe you need the really big loop for heavy gloves in Alaska. DRC levers have a smoother edge like a comfort wedding band whereas the WW lever has a sharper edge like the factory original. Dave Clay is one of the best people in the industry. I've spent hours talking to him but I always feel guilty about it because he is so busy. He is usually not available in the morning and I have had him answer the phone as late as 7 PM Texas time. I had to wait about 2 1/2 months for my SS DRC 1894 lever. DRC phone 817-783-6099.
One thing you need to know is that no lever is a "bolt-on" and may require sanding, filing or spring cutting to work. Theres a reason for the need for fitting and even the Marlin factory replacements need fitting. To fit my WW 1894 lever took me over 2 hours but all my WW 1895 GS lever needed was cutting off one spring coil. My DRC lever was too thick to even install so I took it to my friend the gunsmith who had it working perfectly in all of 10 minutes (thanks bro!).
When you call tell 'em the Marlin Owners sent you.
