Used 1894 in 357 for sale at Gander Mountain

From what I've read it seems finding an 1894 in 357 can be a bit difficult. For anyone that's interested there's a used one with a 1.5x5 Swift scope on it at the Brookfield, WI Gander Mountain for $359.

If it's in good shape, that's a pretty good price. I just bought a new in box (1999 built) .357 for $450 from a local gun shop.

I traded off an unfired 1894 Cowboy in .357 quite a while back, and the other day, I noticed it was still in the dealer's lineup; despite being marked down twice, it still hadn't found a home. To make a long story short, I re-acquired it.

It is always interesting to observe local buying patterns, even if I seldom understand the logic (?) behind them.

Guess it depends what kind of shape it is in. I got one in very good condition with an FP sight for about that this year.

I don't really know! There was another trade and some "to boot" cash, but everyone involved was glad to see the swap take place. I figure I did OK since a week has passed and I'm not kicking myself.

The rifle lasted about a week before it was sold. Some of the stuff at this store sits and sits. Some goes quickly.

Having been in that store 2x this year, they do move used guns fairly quickly.

Brother in Law took in a Ruger Blackhawk (.357) which he purchased back in the 80's. He made close to $150 on it and turned it around to purchase a Browning Buckmark.

Talked with my sister last night and she said Cabelas opened at Hwy 41/45 junction. She got my B-day gift there (bless her heart) and she found out a Cabelas is slated to open in Seattle in 2007 ( :P  ).

This is bad... this is very bad.......
